My CommVault Experience –

First Round (Coding)

First round was a rendering round. There was 1 rally question, and 6 real
. questions. Rendering had to be done in their own terrain. Partial marking (for partial end of test cases) was there.

Questions were

  1. Given 2 integers m, and n (decimal system), write a program to perform right shift on m, n times.
  2. Given a mound ( enforced using linked list), and somepre-defined functions drive (int), pop (), and isEmpty (), write a recursive
    . function to reverse the contents of the mound. (No circles allowed).
  3. Given a string s, and a mask string m, cancel all characters in s that were common to s andm.
  4. Given a 2-D array of x’s and o’s, write a function that first rotates the matrix by 90 degrees clockwise, and also pushes all x’s to the bottom and o’s to the top in every column.
  5. Given preorder and postorder of a double tree, write a function to find the inorder of the same tree.
  6. Polynomials are represented as linked lists in the following manner Each knot has 2 members, the measure (coeff) and the exponent (exp). Bumps given in dwindling order of exponent. For illustration, linked list

    . represents the linked list
    5×4 2×3 3x 4
    So, given two polynomials as 2 linked lists, return the sum of these 2 polynomials as a linked list. 25 scholars were shortlisted in this round. Alternate Round This was a 7 hour rendering round. We had to complete their law for a virtual train system. There were certain mileposts which had to be completed. At the end, only 4 scholars were shortlisted. Third Round (Tech & HR Interview)
    Tech Interview First, I was asked to walk through my CV. They asked some introductory questions about my systems, and I answered. Next, I was asked 3-4
    . hard mystifications. After that, rendering questions, substantially from OOPS, DS and Algorithms. HR Interview The HR interview was substantially about my CV. I was asked about my systems and places held, and what all work I had done. It was enough introductory. Eventually, 2 of us were named.     CommVault Systems Interview Experience| Set 3 (On- Lot) Commvault had lately visited our council. They were looking for both software inventors as well as people for QA. Both had analogous packages. Coming to the selection process, we were given a choice of concluding for any one profile, days before the online test. I decided for the DEV profile. Everyone who applied were eligible for the test handed their cgpa was further than 8. There were 3 rounds in aggregate. My description covers only the process for dev profile. QA had a fully separate process. Online test (2 hrs)
    The online test had 6 programs to be answered, 3 in c/ c and 3 in java. The 6 questions had a total weightage of around 100 marks. They were enough easy and had to be answered in 90 mins. Questions
    One was direct sorting
    One was resizing an array stoutly
    One was making a indirect linked list into 2 halves
    Coming to java, one was replacing all indistinguishable characters in a string with its coming character and final string shouldn’t hav any duplicates.
    One was chancing kth item in a BST
    One was chancing no of indeed, odd, and high figures in an array
    .
    Partial labors were considered. Also there were 16 aptitude questions with 1 mark each. But only 20 mins. Aptitude was time taking but its weightage was less so it was n’t a problem. We ca n’t calculate on aptitude to get past the online test. Hey geek! It’s time to come a success story rather of reading them.     .21 were named from the 450 members who applied for dev profile.
    I got through the first round by getting labors for 5 programs both full labors and partial labors together. People who had analogous score in c and java were only named. Massive Coding round (9 hrs)
    This is a massive coding round for the 21 of us who were shortlisted. They wanted us to produce ade-duplication machine that acts as a train storehouse, reclamation, and handling system. It must take some lines as inputs, take data from it in gobbets of 8 byte size and store it in some effective data structure of our choice. The data structure should be robust and mustn’t store indistinguishable gobbets. Rather, it has to make a reference to the original knob that’srepeated.On the whole, it was an amazing experience, ( especially the alternate round) and it wasn’t easy. Actually speaking it was a bit of an extreme process of selection. I’ve noway faced or indeed heard of such a selection process ahead. Only people with once experience in similar type of systems, veritably strong determination and tolerance can make it through. I loved the whole process and i’m glad i was suitable to witness it. A big thanks to geeksforgeeks without which i would n’t be suitable to prepare for placements. Every 1 hour or so they kept transferring off people whose design isn’t so good. They gave us some coadjutor functions and title lines as well. They kept helping us with the law and helped working minor issues as well. They kept covering our performance throughout the round. I stayed till 8 hours and by the time i was transferred down, there were only 7 people left.
    By the end of 9 hours only 4 people made it. Particular interview ( final round)
    The 4 people who made it, gave a particular interview which was specialized stress test, incontinently after the alternate round. It was to test their limits of confidence in the subject and how they can handle extreme pressure
